CPEC to bring $150 billion investment in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Board of Investment (BoI) Chairman Dr Miftah Ismail hoped that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would bring $150 billion worth of investment in the country.

While speaking at the three-day 19th Sustainable Development Conference on the theme of ‘Sustainable Development: Envisaging the Future Together’, the chairman said, “We will require skilled manpower to work in various industries around the country.”

Ismail highlighted that the government is paying special attention on paving way for new opportunities in the country which will be beneficial both for investors and the public.

Ismail also highlighted that equal progress around the country, especially in the remote areas is an important goal for the government and through CPEC all provinces and regions would have an equal opportunity for infrastructure development, industrial growth and for eradicating unemployment from the country.
