HYDERABAD: An improvised explosive device (IED) planted in a bicycle went off near the Sindh Agriculture University in Tando Jam on Friday, leaving two persons injured, including a Sindh Rangers personnel.
According to Hyderabad Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Irfan Baloch, the IED exploded near a Rangers’ mobile. “Initial investigation shows involvement of a banned outfit being funded by RAW (Research and Analysis Wing).” He said the police had launched a hunt for the suspects involved in the attack. The injured were shifted to Liaquat University Hospital.
Officials said that two explosive devices were recovered from the crime scene, while a suspect had also been taken into custody.
