Int’l Anti-Corruption Day observed

ISLAMABAD: The International Anti-Corruption Day was observed on December 9 (Friday) in the twin cities with the theme: “United Against Corruption For Development, Peace And Security”. According to a private news channel, the International Anti-Corruption Day besides helping creating awareness about these issues, brings the citizens of the world together to fight this crime on a global basis. Since 2003, the United Nations Convention Against Corruption has recognised December 9 as the International Anti-Corruption Day. Banners and posters with Anti-Corruption slogans to create awareness among the masses were displayed at important places and buildings. Stickers with the Anti-Corruption message were also distributed among the public on this occasion.
