PESHAWAR: Fire has erupted in the forests of Madyan and nearby forests of Swat which has reduced trees worth millions of rupees to ashes. The local administration informed that due fewer amounts of rains this season is the main cause for fire. The air is dry and chances of spreading the fire increase if rain didn’t happened on time.
The local people said fire has erupted at the forests in Madyan, Shahgram and Bashirgram which further spread towards the residential areas. They said the Forest Department has been informed about the situation, steps has been taken to douse the fire.
