PTI petitions LHC to disqualify Shehbaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Friday submitted a petition requesting Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s disqualification in the Lahore High Court (LHC).

PTI Spokesperson Naeemul Haque expressed that he has been using his designation to save his family business. He further revealed that the Shahbaz did not act upon the LHC’s orders by transferring sugar mills into the prohibited areas and by using his powers as the provincial chief minister.

Naeem revealed that the PTI would not let such a system exist where the powerful can easily abuse their powers even against a court’s orders.

He said that the petition has been prepared by Advocate Shahid Naseem Gondal and a senior lawyer – Babar Awan – will represent the party in the court proceedings.
