The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested three terrorists belonging to a banned outfit on Sunday. CTD officials said that an operation was conducted in Khera Chowk area of Multan on an intelligence tip-off. “During the operation, three members of a banned outfit – Basit, Nasir and Ghulam Hussain – were apprehended with explosives, donation receipts and other material used in terrorist activities,” officials said. The CTD shifted the suspects to an undisclosed location for further investigation. They were planning to target sensitive installations, but timely action foiled the bid, officials said.
