LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Primary and Secondary Health Khawaja Imran Nazir on Sunday visited DHQ Hospital Jhang to review arrangements.
According to a handout, senior medical officer Dr Imran was found absent from duty. Moreover, medicine store at the emergency was closed and dispenser Nasir was absent due to which medicine delivery was not being made.
Kh Imran Nazir took a serious notice of the situation and ordered suspension of the dispenser and also ordered an inquiry against Dr Imran.
Patients complained that they were forced to get their tests done from private labs. Also, in the CCU, two out of five cardiac monitors were found out of order. The minister ordered an inquiry into all malpractices in the hospital and ordered to replace/repair cardiac monitors on urgent basis. He was briefed that medical superintendent was on leave to attend a marriage ceremony.
