US envoy calls on COAS

ISLAMABAD: United States Ambassador to Pakistan David Hale visited the General Headquarters on Thursday where he called on Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Bajwa.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, bilateral and regional security issues were discussed during the meeting. Insiders said the US ambassador congratulated Bajwa on assuming the top general’s office. Hale assured the COAS that the US would continue to work with the new military leadership. Bajwa and Hale also discussed the regional security with particular reference to Afghanistan.
