The first case involves three-year-old Zameer Fatima who was kidnapped from the Saeed Park area of the city. Seven-year-old Amina was kidnapped from the jurisdiction of the Wala Bazar police station. Police said cases have been lodged, adding that both the minor girls were kidnapped from outside their homes. An FIR was lodged against police officials over negligence, alleging that they failed to act in a timely manner when Farishta’s family first reported her missing.
