Shehbaz calls PM Khan out for ‘twisting facts’ on load-shedding

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif, on Saturday, took to Twitter to lambast Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led government for failing to build power plants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He tweeted, “No matter how deceptive the swing & how cunning the skipper, the facts cannot be twisted.”

Opposition Leader in the National Assembly maintained, “People know it full well that PTI failed to build power plants in KP despite tall claims, whereas, PM NS added a total of 11000 MW to the system during his prev term.”

“Hence no load-shedding!” he remarked.

The PML-N leader was reacting to an earlier tweet by Prime Minister Imran Khan wherein he congratulated Federal Minister for Power Omar Ayub for collecting an additional Rs 81 billion in eight months.

PM Khan appreciated Ayub in a series of tweets and claimed that 80 per cent of Pakistan was free from load-shedding during Ramzan.

Talking about the forthcoming year, the premier expressed hopes for “another Rs 120 bn to be recovered.”

He mentioned that the circular debt flow had already been reduced from Rs 38 billion to Rs 26 billion in merely a month. It was expected to come down to “zero by next December,” PM Khan added.
