More rains expected in parts of country

ISLAMABAD: More rain is expected in various areas of the country in the next 12 hours. According to the Meteorology Department, rain with thunderstorms is expected in Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad, Shaheed Benazirabad, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions and Kashmir.

In the rest of the country, mainly hot and humid weather is expected. According to the synoptic situation, seasonal low lies over northeast Balochistan. Weak monsoon currents are still penetrating in north-eastern parts of the country and likely to continue during next 24 hours.

Earlier, heavy rains in Sindh and parts of Balochistan had caused casualties. Low-lying areas were inundated, especially in Karachi.
