Army chief confirms death sentence of 13 terrorists

RAWALPINDI: Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa confirmed death sentences of 13 terrorists, who were involved in heinous offences related to terrorism, including killing and slaughtering of innocent civilians, officials of Law Enforcement Agencies and Armed Forces of Pakistan. These terrorists also include those who planned and executed attacks on Bacha Khan University Charsada, Parade Lane Mosque Rawalpindi, Marriot Hotel Islamabad, Office of World Vision NGO at Mansehra and educational institution at Nawagi Buner. On the whole, they were involved in killing 325 persons injuring  366 people. The details of the convicts is as follows

Latif Ullah Mehsud S/O Ramzan was involved in killing of innocent civilians and attacking Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan, which resulted in death of 150 civilians

Arafat S/O Gul Zarin was involved in attacking Marriot Hotel Islamabad and Parade Lane Mosque Rawalpindi which caused the death of 110 and injured 330 persons.

Wahid Ali S/O Abdul Ali, Akbar Ali S/O Kareem Ullah, Muhammad Riaz, S/O Muhammad Diyar Khan and Noor Ullah S/O Muhammad Diyar Khan. These four convicts were members of proscribed organization and were involved in attacking Bacha Khan University Charsada which resulted in death of 17 civilians. They were also found in possession of fire arms and explosives.

Abdul Rehman S/O Abdul Majeed was involved in attacking Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan. He was also the culprit involved in slaughtering Capt Najam Riaz Raja,Capt Juniad Khan, Naik Shahid Rasool, Lance Naik Shakeel Ahmed sentence.

Mian Said Raheem S/O Mian Aqal Jan was involved in killing of 15 civilians including members of local Jirga and civilian Imran who was slaughtered by another terrorist with his assistance. The convict admitted his offences before the Magistrate and the trial court. He was awarded death sentence.

Noor Muhammad S/O Shah Wali was a member of proscribed organization. He was involved in attacking Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan, which resulted in death of Naik Nadeem Yousaf and injuries to 7 soldiers of Frontier Constabulary. He was also involved in abduction of civilian Dr Syed Jamshed Haider for ransom.

Sher Ali S/O Mambar was involved in attacking Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan, which resulted in death of Naib Subedar Abdul Khaliq, Naik Qaiser Khan, Sepoy Mohsin Khan, Sepoy Imran Khan, Sepoy Sarfraz Ahmed, Sepoy Muhammad Ali, Sepoy Sajid Khan and injuries to 5 soldiers. The convict also abetted other terrorists in killing of civilians Muhammad Afzal Khan, Shah Dawran and Aman Ullah.He was also found in possession of fire arms.

Syed Qasim Shah S/O Syed Amin Shah. The convict was a member of proscribed organization. He was involved in attacking Office of World Vision NGO, which resulted in death of 6 employees of said NGO.

Muhammad Usman S/O Khair Ali Khan. The convict was a member of proscribed organization. He was involved in killing of civilians Abdul Rehman, Jamshed, Mst Naheed Bibi and Mst Nasreen Bibi. He was also found in possession of fire arms and explosives.

Muhammad Waqar Faisal S/O Ghulam Sadiq. The convict was a member of proscribed organization. He was involved in killing of police constable Asad Abbas and in injuring a police constable and 2 civilians. The convict admitted his offences before the Magistrate and the trial court. He was awarded death sentence.
