NAP flawed law, innocent people being hanged: Maulana Fazal

Author: Online

RAHIM YAR KHAN: Ameer Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman said that establishment of military courts was a discriminatory law in which some innocent people were hanged. Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman said “we cannot support at any cost the extension of military courts as discriminatory laws are not acceptable.” He said that he supported all laws formed against terrorism as owing to these laws, terrorism in the country has been reduced.

Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman said military courts were used to discriminate against religious people, not to eradicate terrorism. To a question, he said that he sensed no seriousness in the decision taken by PPP against PML-N incumbent government. He said that PPP knew which powers wanted to end democracy so he and PPP could not support such hidden powers.

Talking about the APS carnage two years ago, he said the APS bloodshed has not been probed so far but some innocents were hanged on the basis of this incident. He said that on the basis on terrorism, some national security agencies were fighting against some organisations, adding that “we cannot eradicate terrorism from such policies”.

Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman said that Hamoodur Rehman’s commission report had been put in the library. He said that he (Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman) informed General Raheel Sharif that the National Action Plan was an impartial law under which stern action is being taken against students studying in Madras, instead of going after real culprits.

He said that he has submitted a movement in National Assembly for the amendment of NAP. He added that the US and India has united against Pakistan and China owing to CPEC. However, Pakistan Army is capable of giving a befitting response to its enemy.

On this occasion Deputy Chariman Senate Maulana Abdul Ghafor Haidri and others were also present there.
