HYDERABAD: Rangers claimed to have killed a would-be suicide bomber close to Imam Ali Imambargah in Hyderabad’s Amani Shah Colony in Latifabad No 11 on Friday, while his accomplice managed to escape.

According to details, Rangers personnel spotted two suspects riding a motorcycle near the imambargah. The law enforcers signaled them to stop, but instead of stopping they opened fire on the personnel and hurled a grenade at them in an attempted getaway.

The officials retaliated, and as a result, a one of the two was killed, while his accomplice managed to escape. The jacket of the killed terrorist was full of explosives, which had to be defused by the bomb disposal squad. Rangers reportedly launched a search operation in the area.
