Six passengers dead, 24 wounded as van catches fire in Multan

MULTAN: A passenger van caught fire near Head Muhammadwala area claiming lives of 6 travelers and wounding 24 on Sunday.

Rescue officials reported that the injured and the bodies were shifted to Hishtar Hospital however, the cause behind the blaze was yet to be determined.

Reportedly, the van was enrooted Multan from Chowk Sarwar Shaheed. Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has offered his condolences to the brieving families and directed authorities concerned to ensure the best treatment to the injured passengers.

CM Shehbaz has summoned a report from the authorities over the issue.
