Hunter given the charge of ‘guardian’ of Wildlife

Author: Muzammil Ferozi

Sindh government has once again depicted nepotism in the Forest Department by qualifying the wild hunter as Chairman Wildlife and Forest Departments.

A hunting lover Sardar Muhammad Usman Almani belongs to Noshero Feroz city, and is the relative of Jam Madad Ali Khan, having relation with Sanghar’s Jam family.

According to the experts, Almani has much fondness of hunting whose images could be seen on social media. The Chairman has been involved in hunting a large number of animals; therefore, he would not be suitable for responsibility of preserving the animals at forest.

Animal lovers wonder how a hunter can be a Chairman of wildlife department. After its notification, animal lovers are disappointed and seem hopeless from wildlife department.

On the other hand, the Chairman said the forest department has banned hunting of wild animals and birds in the province adding that foreign nationals who visited Sindh for hunting didn’t pay the license fee.
