Sindh University awards 18 PhD, 57 MPhil degrees

The Advanced Studies and Research Board (ASRB) of the University of Sindh has approved to award degrees of MPhil and PhD to 57 scholars who have successfully completed their research in various disciplines.

The board in its 133rd meeting after considering various reports pertaining to thesis and scientific works approved award of 18 PhD and 57 M.Phil degrees to the scholars in the faculties of Social Science, Islamic Studies, Pharmacy, Natural Science, Commerce & business administration and Arts and humanities.

Chaired by SU vice-chancellor Prof. Dr Fateh Muhammad Burfat at his office, the meeting was attended by director graduate studies Dr. Sarfraz Ali Tunio, deans of various faculties Prof. Dr. Akhtar Hussain Mughal, Prof. Dr. Abdullah Dayo, Prof. Dr. Hafiz Munir Ahmed, Prof. Dr. Zareen Abbasi, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Siddique Kalhoro, Prof. Dr. Imdad Ali Ismaili, Prof. Dr. Aijaz Ali Wasan, Prof. Dr. Hakim Ali Kanasero, Prof. Dr. Abdul Sattar Almani, Prof. Dr. Wazir Ali Baloch, Prof. Dr. Arfana Begum Mallah, Dr. Khalil Khumbhati, Dr. Shahzad Ahmed Memon and Registrar Ghulam Muhammad Bhutto.

Those cleared for PhD degrees are: Noor un Nisa Baloch in Commerce, Basheer Ahmed, Nazir Ahmed in Islamic Culture, Abdul Jabbar Nizamani, Ghulam Fatima Babar in Sindhi, Fareeduddin Pathan, Sajida Parveen Kaimkhani, Wajeeh Ul Hassan Siddiqui in Urdu, Asma Bano Shaikh in Economics, Youaab Nayyar in Development Studies, Muhammad Ramzan Kolachi in International Relations, Abdul Jaleel Mirjat Baloch, Ali Murad Lajwani, Hafeezullah Baloch, Sada Hussain Shah in Sociology, Ahmed Ali Samejo, Nadir Ali Shah and Ghulam Bushra Siyal in Zoology.
