COAS in Saudi Arabia on first foreign visit

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Saturday arrived in Saudi Arabia on a three-day official visit, the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) reported.

According to the military’s media wing, General Bajwa was warmly received by Assistant Defence Minister Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-ayesh in Riyadh. The army chief will meet senior civil and military leadership of Saudi Arabia during the three days.

Defence sources told Daily Times that this is General Bajwa’s first foreign visit after assuming the command of the army.
