Three Kashmiri fighters, 1 civilian dead in IoK

Anti-India protests and clashes began in the wake of a gunbattle triggered by the Indian Army which killed three Kashmiri fighters, an Indian soldier and a local civilian on Thursday morning.

The gunbattle was the result of searches conducted in a neighborhood in Pulwama.

Another Kashmiri man was wounded along with two Indian army men.

Local residents said troops also damaged a civilian home with explosives.

The incident sparked protests despite a lockdown. The protestors who attacked the army with stones were shot with shotgun pellets and tear gas. Injuries for street break out are not reported.
