KARACHI: The dollar closed flat in value against the rupee in the interbank market, treasurers said. It started the day’s trading at Rs 105.30 for buying, with no variation in value closed at Rs 105.30 for buying and Rs 105.50 for selling in interbank. The euro witnessed upward trend against rupee as it started day’s trading at Rs 123.75 for buying, closed at Rs 123.85 for buying and closed at Rs 124.05 for selling after gaining 10 paisas. The pound sterling remained down against local currency as it initiated the day’s trading at Rs 137.25 for buying and closed at Rs 137.20 for buying and Rs 137.40 for selling after losing 05 paisas.
Open market: The dollar remained up against the rupee, dealers said. It started the day’s trading at Rs 107.20 for buying and closed at Rs 107.30 for buying after 10 paisas upward variation in value and stood at Rs 107.50 for selling. The euro remained up versus the rupee as it started the day’s trading at Rs 123.75 for buying, and with 10 pasias change in value it closed at Rs 123.85 for buying and at Rs 124.05 for selling. The pound remained depressed against the rupee as it started the day’s trading at Rs 139.25 for buying, closed with 10 paisas downward change for buying and closed at Rs 139.35 for selling.
