KARACHI: According to officials, Pakistan’s Maritime Security Agency (MSA) and Customs Intelligence seized 100 kilograms of a deadly drug on Tuesday off the coast in Karachi.
Personnel from MSA and Customs conducted a joint raid, close to Pakistan’s western territorial waters. Officials seized 100 kg of ‘Crystal meth’ – one of the most deadly drugs – and detained 12 smugglers.
The seized consignment of drugs cost around Rs 1 billion in the international market, said an MSA spokesman. “The consignment was dispatched for that United States and Europe from eastern Africa,” the spokesman added. The drugs were handed over to Pakistan Customs for disposal.
