Alleged terrorist attack in Gawadar’s PC hotel

GAWADAR — Terrorist attack has been reported in Balochistan’s Gawadar city, according to Aslam Bangulazi the Gawadar Station House Officer (SHO), the Pearl Continental (PC) Hotel in Gawadar came under attack when armed gunmen fired shots.

It was reported that three armed men had entered the hotel around 4:50pm claimed Aslam Bangulazi. The armed militants were wearing suicide jackets and were heavily armed with rocket launchers.

Bangulazi also stated that Anti-Terrorism force and Army are present at the scene in order to control the situation. He added that there has been no reports of collateral damage yet.

The Information Minister of Balochistan, Zahoor Balidi said that everyone in the hotel has been safely evacuated.

Security forces had arrived at the scene and the exchange of firing between the police and terrorists was underway. The security personnel also started an operation and had closed off the area.
