MITHI: Strategic opponent of Pakistan People’s Party in Tharparkar “Arbab group” has been split into two factions, daily Times learnt on Sunday.

Arbab group’s Arbab Lutufullah, nephew of Ex-Chief Minister Sindh Arbab Ghulam Rahim has finally decided to join Pakistan People’s Party. He plans to make an official announcement to join the PPP during an expected visit of ex-President and Co-Chairman PPP, Asif Ali Zardari at Dodharo village in the first week of July.

It is added that after the general election of 2008, ex-Chief Minister Arbab Ghulam Rahim was fled to Dubai very soon after the conflict with the ruling party and left alone the constituency for more than five years, at that time, in this absence of Rahim, Arbab, Arbab Lutufullah gathered his faction and became influential personalities in the Arbab group. A visible spilt was seen on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitar when for the first time Rahim and Arbab Lutufullah met their supporters at separate Otaqs to show their strength.

Arbab Rahim was unhappy with his decision and claimed that he has decided to join PPP without his consultation and it’s not a right move of Arbab Lutufullah, so that Arbab group does not own his decision.

Arbab Zakaullah, Ex-MNA said that they have not shut the doors for dialogue but it’s not a correct time to join any political party. They would wait for the post Panama scenario, he added.

Arbab Zakaullah, Arbab Anwer Jabbar and their close allies held some gatherings with Arbab Lutaf at his farmhouse in Dodharo, to satisfy him to review his decision but he clearly refused, sources said to Daily Times.

A section of followers of Arbab group is confused to take any final decision to support Arbab Rahim or Arbab Arbab Lutufullah. It may be understand easily that who is leading Arbab group, because recently elected all district councilors were seen at Arbab Arbab Lutufullah’s guesthouse, an eyewitness said to Daily Times.
