AC Imran was flanked by the office bearers of the Bazaar union.
He said that after merging ex-tribal agencies into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, all laws including consumers interest would be extended to the areas. Therefore, on the arrival of Ramazan, price control lists had been formulated to discourage profiteers, he added. The AC claimed that no compromise would be made on the provision of relief to the poor segments of the society.
“I along with price control committee will pay surprise visits of different sections of the Bazaar in the whole month of Ramazan and adulterers and profiteers will be dealt as per law,” he remarked.
He urged the people, especially the media, to closely monitor the market to ensure the implementation of price lists in word and spirit as well as to report against those violating the law.
Landi Kotal Anjuman-e-Tajeran President Haji Lal Rahim appreciated the steps adopted by the administration and noted that the local traders would join hands with the officials to ensure the imposition of price control list and grant further relief to the residents of the area.
