ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Friday gave the newly elected mayor of Rawalpindi assurances of the provincial and federal governments support and cooperation in resolving citizens’ problems.
During a meeting with the mayor-elect Sardar Naseem, the minister congratulated him and exchanged views on the overall situation in Rawalpindi. He directed the mayor to prepare separate six month and two year programmes on solutions to the problems of Rawalpindi’s citizens.
The minister emphasised the need to take concrete steps for bringing visible improvement in society.
At the same time, the minister also gave the ‘Best Officer of the Year 2016’ award to Lahore Director FIA Dr Usman Anwar for his outstanding performance during the current year.
