ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Friday visited the office of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) and interacted with staff there, according to a press statement issued here.
Outgoing ISPR Director General Lieutenant General Asim Saleem Bajwa briefed the army chief on the role and functions of the media wing. The statement said that the army chief appreciated the role of the media wing as an institution.
Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Bilal Akbar, Vice Chief of General Staff Major General Azhar Saleh and ISPR Director General-designate Major General Asif Ghafoor were also present on the occasion.
Military sources said that the army chief appreciated the role and performance of the Inter-Services Public Relations in building image of the army and its institutions in the media. Gen Bajwa said that the media wing had always highlighted activities of the armed forces in the best way.
