Three charred, 21 injured as bus catches fire after accident

SHIKARPUR: At least three persons including the commuter coach driver were burnt to death while 21 commuters suffered grave injuries when their commuter coach caught fire after a crash with a truck on Shikarpur-bypass near Kundan Restaurant, in the limits of New Faujdari Police Station in early Friday hours. The SHO, New Faujdari Police Station, Mumtaz Murwat told that a speedy Jacobabad commuter coach en route to Karachi collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction. Resultantly, the coach was instantly caught by fire burning three to death and wounding 21. Edhi’s rescue team was called while fire brigade vehicles extinguished the fire. Injured were shifted to the Civil Hospital, Shikarpur, Sukkur and Larkana hospitals, where their condition was stated to be stable.
