Author: Maryam Majeed

Drama serial ‘Mohabbat Tumse Nafrat Hai’ revolved around the consequences of having a big ego.

‘Mohabbat Tumse Nafrat Hai’ is a Pakistani drama serial based on a girl called Maheen. Maheen is affected by her ego which does not let her mind for thinking anything good in her life and therefore she feels strong dislikes when she does not like something. She is the girl of egoism who always wishes for the goodness only for herself. In her childhood, she was engaged with her cousin Gulreez. Gulreez however likes Maheen very much but he never keeps the courage to tell her that he loves her so much, he only explains this to his sister. This serial is very interesting since it is based on the true stories of daily lives as the twist comes in the story when Waqar enters in the ground. Waqar also loves Maheen who usually visits her home but Gulreez is not aware of the facts because his love is very much unique in his heart.

The turning point in the drama serial is when Maheen also falls for Waqar because of his charming style the sad reality is that she is already engaged to her cousin Gulrez. So, she keeps no idea what to do in this situation where the love is triangle. What happens is very much interesting thorough the scenes in the drama when both of the parents of Maheen and Gulreez once again go for fixing a date for their engagement. Similarly, Waqar wishes to leave for London but Maheen does not let him go because both of them love each other which is not known to other. Maheen does not want to marry a man whom she even does not love at all and resultantly, she breaks the relationship with her childhood fiancé Gulreez and tells him that he loves Waqar.

The entire drama revolves around ego and revenge and also the true love Maheen has for Waqar. It’s noteworthy that Maheen carries the whole plot on her shoulders. She wants to punish Waqar for spending the night with her. Waqar comes to know about this fact when he reads Maheen’s diary in which she has written everything

The entire drama revolves around ego and revenge and also the true love Maheen has for Waqar. It’s noteworthy that Maheen carries the whole plot on her shoulders. She wants to punish Waqar for spending the night with her. Waqar comes to know about this fact when he reads Maheen’s diary in which she has written everything. He also came to know that she does not love him but only loves his childhood fiancé Gulrez, and this relationship is all about just taking revenge. This is what kills him inside and breaks completely and he leaves once again for London. After some days, Maheen and Gulrez get married as they love each other. She had not broken her relationship with Gulrez but it was all about just a drama and the ego of Maheen which pushed her for such things.

Additionally, Gulrez suffers from a big disease and after four years of their marriage, he passes away and leaving Maheen once again alone. Here we come to know that ego can kill the wishes of the people when one plays with the lives of others. And interestingly, there once again happens the arrival of Waqar in Maheen’s life after eight solid years. Both of them marry according to their own wishes, and one night after their marriage, Maheen commits suicide and leaving a letter on page for Waqar in which there was written, “Love is not limited only within sleeping nor sex, but it is all about trust and believe in a relationship which we don’t have.”

Maheen dies in the end, bringing a very strong message to all of us that keeping false egos can result very badly and leads many to commit big mistakes. I strongly recommend this drama serial to everyone.
