Police fires four cops over oil theft

Dadu B Police station, on Wednesday, terminated as many as four officials over involvement in oil theft from Pak Arab Refinery Ltd Company (PARCO) line in Dadu.

An inquiry had been constituted in this regard by Sindh Police Inspector-General (IG), which was being headed by Jamshoro Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP).

SSP Tauqir Mohammad Naeem completed the inquiry and recommended stern action against the accused to Hyderabad Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Naeem Shaikh.

DIG Shaikh dismissed B section police station’s former Station House Officer (SHO) Sub Inspector Mazhar Ali; WHC-written Head Constable Yakeen Ali Jatoi; In-Charge Markhpur police post, ASI Dhani Bux Jamali and In-charge Chhano Shahabad Police Post.

It may be pertinent to mention here that PARCO line theft had emerged as a heated issue, causing concern from all quarters. In the wake of complaints from senior PARCO officers, Sindh Police IG had previously directed SSP Naeem to conduct an inquiry and submit it to Hyderabad Police DIG.
