The event was attended by NTFP Director, Ahmad Mansoor, as chief guest beside officials of NTFP, political workers and tribal elders.
Speaking on the occasion, Mansoor added that they were striving hard to enhance apiculture among the tribesmen and providing free services for the purpose.
“NTFP assists affectees of the militancy-hit areas in form of giving them apiculture facility so that they can get profitable business in their own villages and localities,” he remarked.
The director maintained that trade would soon grow significantly more as breeding of honeybees would increase; causing an increase in profits. The chief guest gave away five honeybee maintenance colonies (boxes) each to 35 families of the area and pledged to give ten boxes in the future.
