The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), in a raid, arrested four suspected terrorists from Multan. A team of CTD officials conducted a raid near Bahawalpur Bypass intersection and arrested the four alleged terrorists, officials said.

They said the accused had made a plan to target sensitive points in the area. Six grenades, ammunition and equipment were recovered from the arrested men, they added. The suspects have been identified as Fazal, Aslam, Gul and Basit. They were moved to an undisclosed location for interrogation, officials said. It may be mentioned here that CTD officials had arrested an alleged terrorist during a raid in Abbottabad earlier this month. The suspect was identified as Mujeebur Rehman, who hailed from Karachi. He was allegedly involved in terrorist activities in Karachi and Balochistan, including targeted killings, bomb blasts and bank robberies, officials said.
