Woes of the champions

Author: app/afp

Last season’s Premier League Champions Leicester City fell short of the huge expectations they left for their fans again as the Foxes lost for a ninth team this campaign.

Leicester have been in a constant state of despair as they sit just three points above the relegation zone. The foxes were condemned to a ninth defeat of the campaign by Everton, who won 2-0 at the King Power Stadium courtesy of Kevin Mirallas and Romelu Lukaku.

Everton were all over Leicester, who were without the suspended Jamie Vardy.

Having won just one of their last nine league games and sitting just three points above the relegation zone in 16th place, Leicester needs to regroup now or their fairytale story may have a crash-landing with them condemned to the Championship.
