I’m not appearing in Mahira’s ‘Superstar’: Nora Fatehi

Author: News Desk

Model-turned-performer Nora Fatehi, who got fame after her hit remake of “Dilbar” song last year, has clarified that she is not appearing in actress Mahira Khan’s upcoming film ‘Superstar’ for an item number.

Nora Fatehi said in a statement, “I do not know from where these rumours have started. I’m not doing a dance number in ‘Superstar’ and have not signed any Pakistani film. In fact, even I was surprised to read this bit of news and let me make it clear to everyone, it’s not true. I’m focusing on my acting career and not item songs at the moment.”

Fatehi’s “Dilbar” song in John Abraham-starrer ‘Satyameva Jayate’ is still ruling the YouTube global charts as it has crossed more than 100 million views.

The “Dilbar” song, directed by Tanshik Bagchi and written by Shabbir Ahmed and Ikka, was sung by Neha Kakkar, Dhvani Bhanusali and Ikka.

The original “Dilbar” girl Sushmita Sen praised her, saying, “Nora was absolutely fantastic in it and my favourite parts of this song are the first two lines, which they added and is very well done. The remix is also very well done. Nora has absolutely killed it but I still like the original version more.”
