A famous magazine called the Priyanka 2019’s ‘Beauty of the year’-along with other famous Hollywood names like Brei Larson, Kacey Musgraves and Jennifer Garner. The actress won many similar titles in the past few years, but instead of acknowledging it, Priyanka wanted to educate the masses about the term ‘beauty’ and the standards defined by the society that people had to abide in. She said:”In the world that we live in, the standard of beauty isn’t real.”
The artist exposes the artificial standards and the effort behind each magazine post: “I think I realized what all it takes to actually look the way we do on magazine covers and the work we do.”
She added: beauty is “the confidence with which you walk into a room” and “the ability to do your job to the best of your capabilities.” She then said how she plans on being a “glamorous old lady who will always have an opinion on everyone;”
With all that said, it seemed as if the actress did not acknowledge the title given to her. Priyanka is a fan of inner beauty, rather than what is visible to the eye. Priyanka has exposed the reality of the beauty industry on many occasions before. In the initial years of her career, the actress was shamed for her facial features, which lead Priyanka to go under the knife for several surgeries, but she is now evidently rebelling against the beauty standards of the industry. She encourages girls to be proud of their natural face and to not give in to the pear pressure from the society. One thinks if it is fair to make such a statement after all the facial surgeries she’s had?
