As many as 135 copy and 37 impersonation cases were detected during annual examination of HSC Part-I Mathematics paper in the entire limits of Board of intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE), Larkana Division and some parts of Dadu district here on Tuesday. According to BISE data shared with newsmen, 12 copy cases were found in Larkana district along with eight impersonation cases. Likewise in Kambar-Shahdadkot district 41 copy and 19 impersonation cases were captured. In Shikarpur district 13 copy and two impersonation cases, in Jacobabad district 41 copy & seven impersonation, in Kashmore @ Kandhkot district 28 copy & only one impersonation was caught and no case was detected in Dadu where perhaps teams could not reach for any reason.

On Monday, during Zoology paper for XIIth class, as many as 119 copy and six impersonation cases were found. During Chemistry Paper-II as many as 178 copy, 33 impersonation and 10 replacement cases were detected which has proved that education department & the Boards have miserably failed in curbing usage of cheating practices by the candidates during annual examinations across Sindh. Question papers are made viral on social media much ahead of the examination centers’ timings which also shows that this system badly needs complete overhauling from top to bottom if the government is serious to eradicate the menace of copy culture from the entire province. The sooner it is done the better it will be for the future of the country otherwise the existing system will only bring disaster, a senior teacher murmured. He said posting in Education Department & Boards should strictly be made on merit completely ignoring political influence then there could be a chance that good governance would be established which will ultimately ensure elimination of existing corrupt system.

Education of more than 100 girls have been put to stake along with their future by the incompetent education department

The Government Girls Primary School is closed since last over five months which was established in village Khanwah, near the final resting place of Bhutto leaders (Garhi Khuda Bux), which has exposed the so called education emergency which was imposed in Sindh to improve standard of education and to open the closed schools. This action showed rulers commitment to prioritize education & health sectors to fulfill the vision of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and was widely appreciated but it turned out to be hollow slogan. The school is located within the constituency of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Women Wing President Faryal Talpur. Education of more than 100 girls have been put to stake along with their future by the incompetent education department bosses who have neglected this school daringly for unknown reasons and there seems nobody to take stern action against them. Instead of opening closed schools, these officers are involved in closing open schools through their sheer mismanagement and misdeeds. When a media team reached the village to inquire about the prevailing situation on receipt of complaints, a ray of hope was seen among the residents that now unfortunate school will be opened and their daughters will be able to get education.

Security Guard Ali Nawaz Shaikh said that two lady teachers were previously posted, one belonged to Mirpur Bhutto and another was from Ratodero. First the teacher of Ratodero got herself transferred and one teacher continued to impart education to the girl students of the village, he added. He said after some time teacher of Mirpur Bhutto also got her services shifted to home village school as no more teachers were posted in the school to deal with the increasing number of girl students. He said in this since last about five months this school is closed or awaiting posting of new teachers to run it.

Villagers, Ghulam Muhammad Jarwar, Qurban Ali, Sikandar Ali and others told media persons on Tuesday that one Sindh University test pass teacher was posted at the very outset in 2010 and another was also posted later on due to which school was functioning very smoothly but after transfer of first teacher to her hometown Ratodero another teacher also used her influence and got her services transferred to her hometown and since then this lone girls school of the areas is dysfunctional denying right to education to their daughters in this age of science & technology. They alleged that education of their girls has been willfully destroyed as they have constantly been complaining to the education department officers who have been visiting the affected school but nothing as yet has come out which proves that most incompetent officers have been posted on administrative posts on political grounds, they further alleged.
