Five-day Int Rawal Expo 2019 ends on a high note

The five-day International Rawal Expo 2019, organized by Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) at Topi Rakh Auditorium, Ayub Park, Rawalpindi concluded on Monday.

Rawalpindi Commissioner, Jodat Ayaz, graced the occasion as the chief guest.

He appreciated RCCI for playing a key role in promoting business activities in the region while congratulated on the successful culmination of the expo. Commissioner Ayaz further added that such expos played a vital role in boosting business activity.

He also asserted that his office was closely working with the chamber on “Glorious City Rawalpindi” project with an aim to revive the beauty, heritage and historical landscape of the city to attract tourists.

He also talked about sever other development projects in the city, including Ring Road. The commissioner later visited various displays and commended the work of emerging entrepreneurs.

Others present in the ceremony included RCCI President Malik Shahid Saleem; Senior Vice-President Muhammad Badar Haroon; Vice-President Fayyaz Qureshi; Group leader Sohail Altaf; Rawal Expo Chairman Nasir Mirza; Senior Vice-Chairman Khurshid Berlas; Vice-Chairman Bilal Maqbool as well as members of the executive committee and a number of industrialists, business professionals and exporters.

RCCI President demands a dedicated venue for organising expos

In his welcome address, RCCI President said the expo aimed to increase business activity and provide people with entertainment. He further called on the government to provide a dedicated space for expos, which was required to set up trade and industrial exhibitions

More than twelve countries including China, Indonesia, and Thailand participated in the exhibition while Defence Export Production Organization and Heavy Industries also displayed their products for the first time in Rawal Expo, he added.

The five-day exhibition hosted displays of several industrial products; giving buyers an opportunity to book orders on the spot.

Industrial products, garments, leather goods and furniture were among the items showcased. In addition, an auto show, pet show, food court, children’s playing area, and family gala were also held as a part of the expo.
