Four killed over old rivalry in Lahore

Four persons including Union Council (UC) chairman were killed in firing between two rival groups over an old dispute in Ferozwala area of the city on Friday. According to details, armed men sprayed bullets at their opponents from a rival group when they were busy in filing sand into a trolley. As a result of firing, the UC-108 chairman Muhammad Afzal, his bodyguard Amjad and his friend Jameel were killed on the spot while one of the attackers named Adil also lost his life. Both the groups had an old rivalry and agreed to maintain peace a few days back. IG Punjab took the notice of the incident and ordered an immediate inquiry into the case.
