Daewoo bus service of Karachi after its start of one year has been shut down in the metropolis owing to huge price rising in fuels.

The bus service was launched on 15th April, 2018 by the Sindh Minister for Transport, Labor and Information Nasir Hussain Shah at the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board office. The route was from Dawood Chowrangi to Tower via Drigh Road, Sharea Faisal and Saddar.

The city bus service administration said that the loss of Rs 3 to 4 Lacs was being afforded every month; it is therefore, these 10 air-conditioned buses created a big loss to the government.

However the moment, when the government had started the service, they were stating publicly to do more and more in line to make transport feasible for Karachiiets.

The in-charge city bus service, Rahan Ullah said that in spite of the fact that the massive raising of the diesel and fuel, the management did not increase the bus fair.

He further said hat government has also expanded the agreement with us adding that

The daily service passengers were given 40 kilometers travelling, while the buses’ drivers had to deal with the staff, he added.

Karachiites said that the promises of the ex-minister turned out to be fabricated since he brought beautiful dreams to the Karachi public for the reason that no new convenient transport was started on as promised, which proved all have be backed out.

“Despite promising so many times Ex-minister Nasir Hussain shah kept giving lollypop to masses even in reality he did not do anything to make public transport good”, people said

Zohaib Khan a regular traveler, said that he liked the way to travel in these buses, but not now he is unhappy due to its off and failure adding that PPP has not done anything from masses yet, they just proclaimed to serve, he added.

“In summer the environment of buses sounded me splendid because of its cool and well-ventilated surroundings”, he added.
