Sir: The summer season is here and water consumption is also increased. To avoid heatstroke water is a major source of relief in such attack. However, the harsh reality is that water supply in Karachi is not only insufficient, but also irregular!
Soon of the start of summer, the residents of Defence View Phase-II have been facing severe water shortage for the past few weeks. Households don’t get enough water for washing, cooking and cleaning and other daily chores. The residents are then bound to purchase water for tanker mafias, which is an additional cost of domestic expeneses. Several complaints have been launched to water supply department but no action has been taken so far.
I hope this letter will get its due attention from the authorities concerned.
