PTV employees union ends sit-in, Fawad terms workers as national asset

Following denotification of Arshad Khan as Pakistan Television (PTV) managing director, its employees union Friday ended its protest sin-in being held here at headquarters.

Addressing the participants of sit- in, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government stood by the workers as they were asset of the nation. He said all genuine demands of the PTV employees would be accepted and the government would try to give houses to its retired employees and Radio Pakistan.

Acting PTV MD Col (retd) Hammad Hassan Muhammadi was also present on the occasion. The PTV employees union secretary general announced to end the protest after assurance from the management for acceptance of their demands. It is woth a mention that the PTV employees were holding a sit-in against the policies of former MD Arshad Khan.
