Entrepreneurship Expo held in COMSATS Attock Campus

PESHAWAR: Entrepre- neurship Expo was held in COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Attock Campus, which was arranged by students of BS/BA of the 7th semester under the supervision of Professor Dr Farzand Ali Jan.

Thirty five prospective/current entrepreneurs participated in this expo and presented their entrepreneurial ideas along with their business plans.

Arshad Jamil Siddiqui, president Attock Chamber of Commerce & Industry was chief guest while Sohail Jan, Manager SMEDA, KP was guest of honour on the occasion. Sahibzad Anees from IM Sciences also attended. The guests were received by Dr Abdur Rehman, Director COMSATS Attock.

Arshad Jamil highlighted the role of entrepreneurship, adding that it should be encouraged to cope with galloping poverty in the country. He urged youth to come forward with innovative ideas and play their proactive role.

Addressing the participants Sohail Jan, Manager SMEDA, explained the role of SMEDA in SME development and motivated the youth that they should channelize their energy in a positive manner and continue such entrepreneurial more frequently. He also stressed the need for more cooperation between industry and academia. Sahibzad Anees was invited as a guest for elaborating the importance of soft skills in corporate world to the entrepreneurs on the occasion.
