Muhammad Imran, an official of the Chhipa informed Daily Times, “Currently, we have 10 ambulances in for twin cities however with the passage of time the number of the ambulances will be increased as per requirement”.
He said that 6 emergency service points have been established to quickly respond to any emergency. That includes outside Benazir Bhutto Hospital, GPO Rawalpindi, Golera More, Fouji Foundation, Abpara Market and outside PIMS Hospital.
“The dedicated helpline of Chhipa -1020-is currently not available in twin cities, we have applied for the activation of helpline it will take few days, currently we are receiving phone calls on a mobile number of the in-charge at Twin Cities”, he maintained.
Imran said that the head office for twin cities is also under construction at Abpara Market Islamabad, adding that after the completion of the head office all the available welfare services will be provided in Rawalpindi and Islamabad like in Karachi.
Presently, the Chhipa organization has a large fleet of over 500 ambulances operating across Karachi city and other regions of Pakistan.
