The taste of success

Author: Waheed Wahid

Success means to get or achieve wealth, respect or fame. But the real question arises that which format is needed to be applied to be successful and what our heroes or great personalities have done to taste success in their lives. Everyone is born with natural talent. It only depends on how we utilise this talent to stand victorious.

The first step is knowing how to hone these skills. Let’s take an example of a small baby who tries more than hundreds of thousands of times to learn someone’s name and walk properly like the people surrounding him/her, but never ever quit until accomplished his/her target by practicing regularly. It isn’t essential to gain something directly without facing obstacles, since for attaining something we may face various hardships, problems etc, but need not to be worried about them, rather face them for the purpose to possess a brightness future. As someone said, “regular practice makes the man perfect”.

We are afraid of asking questions from our teachers, friends, parents and others, for we think that they might find our questions silly. What we don’t know is that asking questions help us gain knowledge.

Apart from these, making your own notes make you eligible to remember the things forever, despite rote learning which degrade the mind and make it feeble extremely. As, might you remember the things or answers of the questions when you learn them during your examination, but forget them soon after the examination gets finish, since they won’t be transferred from short term memory to long term memory. So, instead of learning or copying the words of your teachers, you have to change them with your own wording or make your concept clear for that only.

“Teamwork” is also an appropriate source to get more information about something or understand something more clearly. Because everyone who is dwelling in this globe has a different mindset, different thoughts or ideas. One can gain something easily, on the other hand one may take a lot of time to understand something. Therefore, it is significant to have teamwork, and discuss the things which you study at your school, college or university regularly where you attain a lot of datas related to your study.

Giving up means you have ruined your life with your own hands. Life is like a journey where we face failures, sadness, pain and difficulties, etc at every stage. What we don’t know is that only these challenges can teach us and shape our lives. Making mistakes is not bad, but not rectifying them is.
