Quran Khawani was held while special prayers were offered for the departed soul of Sardar Fatah Muhammad Khan Buzdar, the father of Punjab Chief Minister, Sardar Usman Buzdar, at Punjab Civil Officers Mess (PCOM), here on Friday.
Qari Rafi-ud-Din Sialvi recited verses from the Holy Quran on the occasion while Marghoob Ahmad Hamdani and Provincial Minister Pir Syed Saeed-ul-Hassan Shah presented Na’ats. Badshahi Mosque Khateeb, Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad, as well as Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, prayed for the deceased. The occasion was marked with the presence of several federal and provincial ministers; assembly members; political leaders; important personalities and a large number of general public.
Many people condoled with the chief minister and paid tributes to the services rendered by his late father.

Zaheer-ud-Din, Ajmal Cheema, Muhammad Akhlaq, Akram Chaudhary, Faisal Hayat, Asif Nakai, Monis Elahi, Zain Qureshi, Khursheed Kasuri, Ijaz Chaudhary, Fiaz-ul-Hassan Chohan, Tahir Ashrafi, former chief minister, Manzoor Wattoo, former Speaker National Assembly, Ch. Amir Hussain, Shoaib Siddiqui, Nadeem Afzal Chan, Abrar-ul-Haq, spokesman to CM, chief secretary, ACS, ACS(Home), Inspector-General Police, secretaries and high officials.
On Thursday, Punjab Acting Governor, Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, visited the residence of CM Buzdar and offered prayers for his father, Sardar Fateh Muhammad Buzdar. He also prayed for patience for the bereaved family. Federal ministers Tariq Bashir Cheema and Shah Mehmood Qureshi; Members Assembly Moonis Elahi, Salik Hussain, Hafiz Ammar Yasir, Shafay Hussain and Sajid Ahmed Khan Bhatti had accompanied him on this occasion.
