Like rest of the world, the Pakistan Table Tennis Federation (PTTF) will commemorate the World Table Tennis Day by organising a series of functions across the country on Saturday, the PTTP president SM Sibtain said on Friday. He said PTTF’s divisional associations and organisations would celebrate the day in their respective jurisdictions by staging exhibition matches to mark the auspicious occasion. The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) organises the day on April 6 every year to draw awareness of masses towards the sport. Meanwhile, the Karachi Table Tennis Association (KTTA) has chalked out a befitting programme for the day that will be observed at Karachi Gymkhana at 4.30pm. According to KTTA chairman former international Javed Hayat, players of all age categories and genders men, women, veterans, junior boys and girls and cadet boys and girls residing in the metropolis will turn up at the venue to compete in friendly matches.
