KARACHI: Karachi Transport Action Committee President Mohammad Asharaf Banglori on Sunday asked the Karachi mayor to streamline the port city’s sewerage system so that citizens do not face problems.

In a statement, he said, “Sewerage is overflowing on MA Jinnah Road area, Jehangir Road locality, Purana Golimar, Lee Market, Garden Road, Ranshore Lane and other areas, causing hardships to the citizens.

“The sewerage on these roads also causes traffic jams and unhygienic conditions. The pedestrians and bikers are in great trouble because of this ugly condition of the roads and streets.”

He said that spread of garbage in different areas along with sewerage had become a big issue which needs to be solved on priority.
