FPCCI announces office bearers for year 2017

KARACHI: The 60th Annual General Body Meeting of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Chambers & Industry (FPCCI) was held at FPCCI Head Office Karachi, wherein, FPCCI Election Commission in the presence of Justice (R) Syed Mahmood Alam, officially announced results of the successful candidates for the slot of Office Bearers 2017.

Zubair F. Tufail secured highest votes, 199 votes out of 317 polled votes and as such declared President. For the Senior Vice President Election, Aamer Ata Bajwa having secured 177 votes out of 317 votes was declared elected. On the Provincial level Election Alhajj Dhani Bukhsh Memon secured 10 votes out of 14 votes and therefore, elected Vice President from Sindh Province; from Punjab Province, Manzoor ul Haq Malik elected as Vice President after having secured 27 votes out of 38 votes, Mian Shaukat Masud was declared elected Vice President from Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) after having secured 6 votes out of 8 votes, Wali Muhammad was declared unopposed elected Vice President from Balochistan Province and Rasheed Ahmed Paracha after securing 7 votes out of 14 votes was declared elected Vice President from the Province of KPK, Sajjad Sarwar secured 6 votes out of 10 votes was declared elected Vice President from the Chamber of Small Traders & Small Industry.

For the seats of Vice Presidents representing Associations of Trade & Industry, Irfan Ahmed Sarwana, out of 199 total votes secured 120, Mirza Ishtiaq Baig 113, Saquib Fayyaz Magoon 103 and Haji Atta ur Rehman secured 101 votes. Masooma Sibtain secured 08 votes out of 18 total votes and therefore, declared elected Woman Vice President. After taking over the Office of the President Mr. Zubair F. Tufail has expressed his resolve to serve the business community for the resolution of their problems and making FPCCI a vibrant trade body on national and international fronts.
