SNGPL Annual Sports: Lahore region wins

A four-day sports gala of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) concluded at WAPDA Sports Complex in a colorful ceremony here on Friday. Lahore (Region) team was declared winner of the sports event. Managing Director SNGPL Zia Mehmood also attended the closing ceremony and thanked all the participants for such a warm welcome. Addressing the ceremony, MD Zia Mehmood said, “we should continue to organize such events as these are important to develop a healthy and successful society, organizations and ultimately a nation.” He congratulated all the members of SNGPL Sports Cell and organizing committee. He also met with the members of sports cell and organizing committee; and appreciated their performance in the event.

On the occasion, Chief Guest, President Sports Cell SNGPL Waseem Ahmed said, “this year our sports gala’s slogan is “Desire for Peace with Simplicity” and we have delivered a message of peace by celebrating this wonderful event with dignity and simplicity. Later, President Sports Cell SNGPL Waseem Ahmed, President CBA Shahzada Iqbal Raza, Chief Distribution Lahore Region Imran Safdar Virk and Incharge Women team Aneela Liaquat distributed shield and prizes among position holding players and congratulated all officials and players for their participation in the event. Lahore (Region) secured first position with 56 points while Head Office Team bagged second position with 39 points and Multan (Transmission) Team stood third with 30 points. On the occasion, SGM SNGPL Syed Jawad Naseem, senior officers and CBA officials were also present.
