Broken Wings by Kahlil Gibran has a total of 95 pages. It is a kind of an autobiography. In fact, it’s a philosophical love story. The writer is the leading character of the story of Broken Wings. Selma Keremy was the love of Kahlil Gibran but they couldn’t get married and she refused to run away with him. She got married to someone else instead. This book can be termed as an autobiography of the first and last love of Gibran who had met Selma Keremy in Beirut. This was love at first sight love as Selma was a young and a beautiful Lebanese girl. The story starts when Gibran was just 18. He travels to Lebanon at the age of 23 and meets his father’s old pal Farris Keremy who’s a quiet and a gentle man. He has lost his wife when his daughter Selma was in her adolescent stage. He invites Gibran to his house.
