Reem Rice pioneers to implement new software in industry

Reem, the nation’s only multinational rice mill, implemented SAP Business One in an industry first on February 26.

The software streamlines key business processes, presents insights and facilitates decision-making premised on real-time information. Reem CEO Qashif Effendi witnessed the milestone alongside Lisa Nichols VP Al Ghurair Food and Resources, Khalid Farooqui MD Mayar Foods of the United Arab Emirates’ Al-Ghurair Group and Saudi Arabia’s Al-Muhaidib Group.

In addition to being the nation’s only multinational rice mill and the first in the industry to implement the aforementioned software, the mill alone boasts steamed rice as a category attribute with its flagship Reem Ka Steam range.

Reem has been exporting premium basmatirice the world over since its inception in 1994. With an enviable reputation and qualityproducts, Reem continues to actualise its vision of introducing the world to first-rate rice from the heartland of Pakistan.
